Final Injury Report for Raptors-Bulls: Will Josh Giddey, Tre Jones Play?

The Chicago Bulls are at home on Thursday night as they host the Toronto Raptors in an Eastern Conference matchup.

Chicago enters Thursday’s game with a 24-31 record after losing on the road to the Boston Celtics at home last Wednesday in their last game ahead of the All-Star break.

In Wednesday’s loss to the Celtics, Matas Buzelis led the way for the Bulls as he recorded 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists while Rob Dillingham added 16 points and seven assists of his own off the bench.

Now Chicago will try to bounce back on Thursday as they face off against the Raptors in a tough home matchup.

On the other side, the Raptors enter Thursday’s contest with a 32-23 record after losing at home to the Detroit Pistons last Wednesday in their final game before the All-Star break.

Immanuel Quickley led the way for the Raptors in Wednesday’s loss as he ended the game with 18 points and five assists while Scottie Barnes recorded 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Raptors Injury Report: Will Collin Murray-Boyles Play?

For the Raptors, they have two players listed on their injury report, including rookie Collin Murray-Boyles.

Toronto has listed Murray-Boyles as probable due to a sprained left thumb and he is expected to return from a one-game absence on Thursday night.

The Raptors have listed Sandro Mamukelashvili as questionable due to a right rib contusion and he is in danger of missing his first game since January 14.

If Mamukelashvili is sidelined, Jakob Poeltl and Trayce Jackson-Davis could both have larger roles.

Bulls Injury Report: Will Josh Giddey, Tre Jones Play?

On the other side, the Bulls have five players listed on their injury report, including both Josh Giddey and Tre Jones.

Chicago has listed Giddey as questionable due to a left hamstring strain and he is in danger of missing his ninth consecutive contest.

If Giddey is sidelined once again, Collin Sexton and Anfernee Simons could both continue to have larger roles.

The Bulls have also listed Jones as questionable due to a left hamstring strain and he is in danger of missing his 12th straight game.

Jalen Smith has been listed as probable and is expected to return from a three-game absence due to a right calf strain while Zach Collins and Noa Essengue have both been ruled out as they remain sidelined while recovering from injuries.
