Final Injury Report for Pistons-Knicks: Will Jalen Duren, OG Anunoby Play?

The New York Knicks are at home on Thursday night as they host the Detroit Pistons in an Eastern Conference showdown.

New York enters Thursday’s game with a 35-20 record after defeating the Philadelphia 76ers on the road in dominant fashion last Wednesday in their final game before the All-Star break.

In Wednesday’s victory over the 76ers, Jose Alvarado led the way for the Knicks as he recorded 26 points, three rebounds, four assists and five steals off the bench while Karl-Anthony Towns added 21 points, 11 rebounds and five assists of his own.

Now New York will try to grab another victory on Thursday as they face off against the Pistons in a tough home matchup.

On the other side, Detroit enters Thursday’s contest with a 40-13 record after defeating the Toronto Raptors on the road last Wednesday in their last game ahead of the All-Star break.

Cade Cunningham led the way for the Pistons in Wednesday’s victory as he ended the game with 28 points, seven rebounds and nine assists while Paul Reed recorded 22 points, five rebounds and three assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Pistons Injury Report: Will Jalen Duren, Isaiah Stewart Play?

For the Pistons, they have two players listed on their injury report as they have ruled out both Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart.

Detroit has ruled out Duren as he will serve final game of his two-game suspension for his role in the altercation that took place during the matchup between the Pistons and Charlotte Hornets ahead of the All-Star break.

With Duren sidelined against the Knicks, Reed and Isaac Jones could both be in line for increased roles.

The Pistons have also ruled out Stewart as he will serve the second game of his seven-game suspension for his role in the altercation that took place between Detroit and Charlotte.

The good news for Detroit is that Ron Holland II is off the injury report and will return after missing the last two games due to personal reasons.

Knicks Injury Report: Will OG Anunoby Play?

On the other side, the Knicks have two players listed on their injury report, including forward OG Anunoby.

New York has listed Anunoby as questionable due to a toenail avulsion and there is a chance he could return from a four-game absence.

If Anunoby is unable to return and is sidelined once again, Landry Shamet and Jordan Clarkson could both have larger roles.

The Knicks have ruled out Miles McBride as he remains sidelined while recovering from surgery for a core muscle injury while Jeremy Sochan is off the injury report and is in line to make his team debut on Thursday.
