Final Injury Report for Mystics-Mercury: Will Kelsey Plum, Shakira Austin Play?

The Phoenix Mercury are at home Tuesday night as they host the Washington Mystics in an interconference matchup.

Phoenix enters Tuesday’s game with a 13-24 record after losing at home to the Atlanta Dream Saturday night.

In Saturday’s loss to the Dream, Kahleah Copper led the way for the Mercury as she scored 38 points while Alyssa Thomas recorded a triple-double with 11 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Mercury will try to bounce back and avoid their third consecutive loss Tuesday as they face off against the Mercury in a tough home matchup.

Washington enters Tuesday’s contest with a 22-15 record after defeating the Portland Fire on the road Sunday night.

Shakira Austin led the way for the Mystics in Sunday’s victory as she ended the game with 31 points and 10 rebounds while Kiki Iriafen added 18 points and 10 rebounds of her own.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Tuesday night’s matchup, each may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Mystics Injury Report: Will Shakira Austin Play?

The Mystics enter Tuesday’s matchup with a healthy roster as they have nobody listed on their injury report, including Austin.

Of course, Austin was able to play in Sunday’s victory despite being listed as questionable due to right knee soreness and she is off the injury report entirely for Tuesday’s game.

Mercury Injury Report: Will Kelsey Plum, Sami Whitcomb Play?

The Mercury have two players listed on their injury report, though Kelsey Plum is not one of them.

Of course, Plum has missed the last three games due to a left calf injury but she is off the injury report and set to return for the Mercury Tuesday night.

Phoenix has listed Sami Whitcomb as probable due to left knee injury management and she is expected to play.

The Mercury have ruled out Marta Suarez as she will miss her second consecutive contest with a head injury.

The Mercury will also be without DeWanna Bonner for the first time this season after the veteran forward and the franchise agreed to a contract buyout Monday.
