Washington enters Sunday’s game with an 18-12 record after defeating the Atlanta Dream at home Friday night.

In Friday’s victory over the Dream, Shakira Austin led the way for the Mystics as she recorded 21 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and five blocks while Kiki Iriafen added 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists of her own.
The Mystics will try to grab another victory and extend their winning streak to seven games Sunday as they face off against a struggling Mercury team at home.
Phoenix enters Sunday’s contest with a 12-21 record after losing on the road to the Connecticut Sun Friday night.

Kelsey Plum led the way for the Mercury in Friday’s loss as she ended the game with 25 points and three assists while Kahleah Copper recorded 16 points and four assists.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Sunday afternoon’s matchup, one may be without one of their key players due to injury.

Of course, Washington claimed Laney-Hamilton off waivers Saturday after the New York Liberty waived her Thursday and she is expected to make her Mystics debut against the Mercury.
