The New York Liberty are at home on Wednesday night as they host the Phoenix Mercury in an interconference matchup.
New York enters Wednesday’s game with a 3-4 record after losing at home to the Portland Fire on Monday night.

In Monday’s loss to the Fire, Breanna Stewart led the way for the Liberty as she recorded 25 points, seven rebounds and three steals while Marine Johannes added 17 points and six assists of her own.
Now New York will try to bounce back at home on Wednesday as they face off against a struggling Mercury team.
On the other side, Phoenix enters Wednesday’s contest with a 2-5 record after losing on the road to the Atlanta Dream on Sunday afternoon.

Alyssa Thomas led the way for the Mercury in Sunday’s loss as she ended the game with 20 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists while Kahleah Copper recorded 20 points and three rebounds.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Wednesday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.
Mercury Injury Report: Will Monique Akoa Makani Play?
For the Mercury, they have two players listed on their injury report, including guard Monique Akoa Makani.

Phoenix has listed Akoa Makani as probable due to reconditioning and she is expected to make her season debut on Wednesday after missing the beginning of the season due to an overseas commitment.
The Mercury have ruled out Sami Whitcomb as she remains sidelined to begin the season while recovering from left knee surgery.
Liberty Injury Report: Will Sabrina Ionescu, Satou Sabally Play?
On the other side, the Liberty have four players listed on their injury report, including both Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally.

New York has listed Ionescu as questionable due to back soreness and she is in danger of missing her second straight game after she sat out Monday’s loss to the Fire due to left foot injury management.
The Liberty have also listed Sabally as questionable with an illness that caused her to exit Monday’s loss in the first quarter.

Betnijah Laney-Hamilton has also been listed as questionable due to personal reasons as she is in danger of missing her fourth consecutive contest while Marine Fauthoux remains sidelined due to a knee injury.
