The Los Angeles Clippers are at home Wednesday night as they host the Sacramento Kings in their 2026-27 NBA season opener.
Los Angeles enters the new season looking to bounce back after finishing ninth in the Western Conference with a 42-40 record and missing the playoffs last season despite making several roster changes in the offseason, most notably trading Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Brandon Ingram.

The Clippers will try to start the season with a victory Wednesday as they face off against the Kings at home in a West matchup.
Sacramento enters the season looking to turn things around after finishing 14th in the West with a 22-60 record last season, which resulted in the Kings missing the playoffs for the third consecutive season.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Wednesday night’s matchup, each may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

The Kings have four players listed on their injury report, including Malik Monk and Maxime Raynaud.
Sacramento has listed Monk as questionable due to left ankle soreness and if he is sidelined, Nique Clifford and Emanuel Sharp could both be in line for increased roles.
The Kings have ruled out Raynaud due to a right patellar subluxation that he suffered in the preseason and he is expected to miss at least the first five games of the season.
Dylan Cardwell has also been ruled out due to a left calf strain, which leaves Sacramento’s frontcourt depth thin behind Domantas Sabonis.

Ben Simmons has been ruled out as he will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn right Achilles during Sunday’s practice.

Los Angeles has ruled out Ingram as he continues to recover from right heel surgery that he underwent in May and there is no timeline for his return.
The Clippers have also ruled out Beal due to right knee injury management as he will miss their season opener.
With Beal sidelined, Darius Garland, Keaton Wagler and Kris Dunn could all be in line for increased roles.
