Final Injury Report for Fire-Storm: Will Karlie Samuelson Play?

The Portland Fire are on the road Saturday night as they travel to take on the Seattle Storm in a Western Conference matchup.

Portland enters Saturday’s game with an 8-12 record after losing on the road in four overtimes to the Washington Mystics Sunday afternoon.

In Sunday’s loss to the Mystics, Carla Leite led the way for the Fire as she recorded 32 points, six rebounds, nine assists and three steals while Sarah Ashlee Barker added 25 points, six rebounds and three assists of her own.

The Fire will try to bounce back and end their three-game losing streak Saturday as they face off against a struggling Storm team.

Seattle enters Saturday’s contest with a 5-16 record after losing on the road to the Phoenix Mercury Thursday night.

Awa Fam led the way for the Storm in Thursday’s loss as she ended the game with 13 points, six rebounds and three assists while Natisha Hiedeman recorded 13 points and four rebounds.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Saturday night’s matchup, one may be without one of their key players due to injury.

The Fire have only one player listed on their injury report as they have ruled out forward Karlie Samuelson.

Portland has ruled out Samuelson due to a left middle finger injury as she will miss her third consecutive contest.

Storm Injury Report

The Storm have only one player listed on their injury report as well as they have ruled out Taina Mair.

Seattle has ruled out Mair due to a coach’s decision as the team continues to manage her eligibility due to her developmental contract.
