Final Injury Report for 76ers-Lakers: Will Joel Embiid, Jaxson Hayes Play?

The Philadelphia 76ers are on the road on Thursday night as they travel to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in an interconference showdown.

Philadelphia enters Thursday’s game with a 29-21 record after defeating the Golden State Warriors on the road on Tuesday night.

In Tuesday’s victory over the Warriors, V.J. Edgecombe led the way for the 76ers as he recorded 25 points, seven rebounds and seven assists while Trendon Watford added 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists of his own off the bench.

Now Philadelphia will try to grab another victory on Thursday as they face off against the Lakers in a tough road matchup.

On the other side, Los Angeles enters Thursday’s contest with a 30-19 record after defeating the Brooklyn Nets on the road on Tuesday night.

LeBron James led the way for the Lakers in Tuesday’s victory as he ended the game with 25 points, three rebounds and seven assists while Luka Doncic recorded 24 points, six rebounds and five assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, both squads may be without some of their key players due to injuries.

76ers Injury Report, Will Joel Embiid Play?

For the 76ers, they have two players listed on their injury report for Thursday, including center Joel Embiid.

Philadelphia has listed Embiid as questionable due to right knee injury management and he is in danger of missing his second consecutive contest.

If Embiid is sidelined once again, Andre Drummond and Adem Bona could both be in line for increased roles.

The 76ers have ruled out Paul George as he continues to serve a suspension due to him violating the NBA anti-drug policy.

Lakers Injury Report, Will Jaxson Hayes Play?

On the other side, the Lakers have three players listed on their injury report, including center Jaxson Hayes.

Los Angeles has ruled out Hayes after the NBA suspended him one game for pushing a Washington Wizards’ mascot ahead of their matchup on January 30.

With Hayes sidelined, Jarred Vanderbilt and Maxi Kleber could both be in line for increased roles.

The Lakers have also ruled out Adou Thiero as he remains sidelined while recovering from a right MCL sprain while Luke Kennard is expected to be sidelined after Los Angeles acquired him from the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday.
