The New York Knicks are at home Tuesday night as they host the Philadelphia 76ers in their 2026-27 NBA season opener.

New York enters the new season coming off winning their first championship since 1973 last season and they are expected to be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference once again behind their core led by Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns.

The Knicks will try to start their season off with a victory at home Tuesday as they face off against the 76ers in a tough East matchup.

Philadelphia enters the season looking to improve on their 45-37 record from last season after adding two star players, LeBron James and Jaylen Brown, to their core led by Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Tuesday night’s matchup, each may be without some of their key players due to injuries.

The 76ers have six players listed on their injury report, including Anfernee Simons and Dean Wade.

Philadelphia has listed Simons as questionable due to left hamstring soreness that caused him to miss the entire preseason and he is in danger of missing Tuesday’s game.

If Simons is sidelined, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope could be in line for an increased role off the bench.

The 76ers have also listed Wade as questionable due to a left ankle sprain while Adem Bona is questionable with a left foot sprain.

Dominick Barlow has been ruled out due to a lower back stress reaction while Tacko Fall is out with a left quad strain.

Ariel Hukporti has also been ruled out as he will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn Achilles in the preseason.

The Knicks enter Tuesday’s matchup with a healthy roster as they have nobody listed on their injury report, including Josh Hart.

Of course, Hart missed New York’s final preseason game on Thursday due to right ankle soreness, though he is off the injury report and will play in their season opener.

Fans can catch Tuesday night’s matchup between the 76ers and Knicks from Madison Square Garden at 7:00 p.m. ET on NBC.
