The 2026 FIFA World Cup hasn't kicked off yet but the conversation around it is already running hot. One of the bigger topics taking over social media right now has nothing to do with brackets or rosters. It's about a song and the YouTube star behind it.
IShowSpeed dropped his football anthem "Champions" just days ago and the response has been hard to miss. The video crossed 11 million views on YouTube almost immediately and fans have kept sharing it across every platform since.
Shot during a large production in Miami, the video features Speed in stadium-inspired settings surrounded by national flags, colored powder and strong Ghanaian cultural influences. He's also seen wearing Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal jersey throughout.
The track itself skips the polished tournament-song formula and goes straight for a rapid-fire celebration of participating nations over a beat built for stadiums. The numbers were already doing the talking but now FIFA has made it official.
IShowSpeed's "Champions" Added to FIFA World Cup 2026 Official Album
FIFA reached out to Speed directly on Instagram to let him know the song had been added to the official list of 2026 World Cup songs, joining 17 other tracks on the album.
"We heard it. We liked it. It's on the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album," FIFA messaged him.
Speed's reaction said everything. He was jumping on his bed, shouting and throwing out Ronaldo's iconic "Siuuu" celebration. "It's on the World Cup album. It's official. Let's go," he said before breaking into a dance to his own track.
Speed has been open about his admiration for Ronaldo for years. Getting his song on the World Cup album is one thing. Hearing it play in a stadium while his idol lifts the trophy would be something else entirely.
