Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark produced a number of highlight plays throughout the FIBA World Cup. In the final between Team USA and France, she had another noteworthy move that landed among FIBA’s top plays from the last day of the competition.
With time running out in the second quarter, Jackie Young passed the ball to Clark, who was on the left side beyond the arc. Knowing that she didn’t have much time left, the Fever guard didn’t hesitate to shoot the ball and quickly launched a triple.
Clark made the triple, allowing Team USA to cut France’s lead to just two, 45-43, at halftime.
The shot gave the Americans some much-needed momentum, as they went on to turn the tables in the third quarter after trailing by as many as 14 points. Team USA dominated 30-12 in the period and went on to win 97-79 for the championship.

FIBA, for its part, absolutely loved Clark’s clutch shot and ranked it No. 9 among the top 10 plays from the last two games of the tournament.
“The best talents in the world all came through in Berlin,” FIBA wrote in the caption of its post. “Your Nike Top Plays from the final day of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026.”
For what it’s worth, Clark’s play turned a lot of heads earlier as well, thanks to her USA teammate Angel Reese.
In a slow-motion video of the moment that was also shared by FIBA, Reese was seen getting hyped up and even stepping outside the bench area to celebrate after Clark beat the buzzer with her triple.
Clark finished the final with 12 points, one rebound and three assists in 13 minutes of play. She went 2-of-3 from the 3-point line.
