Sophie Cunningham’s first season with the Indiana Fever was a success. The 6-foot-1 guard joined the Fever in the offseason via a 10-team trade deal from the Phoenix Mercury. Cunningham made an immediate impact upon arrival. She was a threat from deep and was deemed the team’s enforcer against overly physical foes.
Unfortunately for Cunningham, her season came to an end due to injury. She tore the MCL in her right knee in August. She underwent season-ending surgery and was unable to help her team in the WNBA playoffs.
Cunningham made 30 appearances for the Fever in 2025. She averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.7 triples per game.

Apart from making waves on the basketball court, Cunningham’s popularity rose significantly during her time with the Fever. She capitalized on her fame by starting her own podcast. She teamed up with childhood friend and reality TV star West Wilson to start her own show entitled “Show Me Something.”
Cunningham also has multiple endorsement deals with various brands. One of her biggest sponsors is Adidas. On Thursday, the former Missouri Tigers star announced her latest offseason move in relation to her partnership with Adidas.
Cunningham posted a selfie on her Instagram stories that was geo-tagged in Los Angeles, California. She added the caption, “let @nba all star weekend begin."
Cunningham obviously won’t be playing in the upcoming NBA All-Star Game. As of writing, there are also no reports about the Fever star taking part in any of the official events of the All-Star Weekend.
In a succeeding Instagram story, Cunningham shared a video of herself at Adidas’ AntLAnd event. The sportswear giant has set up multiple activations in L.A. for the All-Star weekend. This includes AntLAnd, an immersive fan experience inspired by Minnesota Timberwolves star and Adidas athlete Anthony Edwards.
The four-day interactive space aims to bring together fans and players “to celebrate the best of basketball culture.” Cunningham is one of the Adidas ambassadors at the event.
While in L.A., Cunningham will also enjoy the festivities of the star-studded weekend. The All-Star Game will take place on Sunday. It will be held at Intuit Dome, the home of the Los Angeles Clippers.
