Stephanie White and the Indiana Fever suffered their second loss in the last three games on Thursday. The Minnesota Lynx dominated the Fever, winning 86-66 at Target Center. After the tough loss, White highlighted what the hosts did right and what her team failed to do.
White emphasized that the Lynx executed their game plan well, living up to expectations as the No. 1-seeded team. She also acknowledged that Indiana needs to improve, especially with the WNBA playoffs set to begin Sunday.
“I think we just have to be real intentional,” White said at the 0:33 mark. “We got to be real intentional.
“Minnesota did what we knew they would do. They came out aggressive. They punched us in the mouth. They’re the No. 1 seed for a reason, and they showed it tonight.
“They dictated on both ends of the floor. We didn’t really respond. We just got to continue to grow, and we know we got to be better.”

The Fever struggled from the field, converting just 25-of-73 attempts, including 5-of-32 from beyond the arc.
Kelsey Mitchell registered 10 points, the only Indiana player to score in double figures. Bree Hall finished with eight points and five rebounds, while Monique Billings added six points and 10 rebounds.
The Fever lost Aliyah Boston in the first half with a right lower-leg injury, but the issue does not seem serious. Tyasha Harris, meanwhile, had to be carried off the court in the third quarter with an ankle injury.
Next up for the Fever is a first-round playoff series against the No. 3-seeded Las Vegas Aces. The defending champions will have home-court advantage against White’s squad.
