FBI Director Kash Patel has issued a response to his backlash at the Winter Olympics.

Patel was spotted in attendance at the U.S. vs. Canada men's hockey gold medal game on Sunday morning. The U.S. topped Canada, 2-1, in the final. It's the Americans' first gold medal win since 1980.

The FBI Director faced backlash for being spotted at the Winter Olympics and in the postgame locker room, celebrating with the team.

Patel had previously claimed to be in Italy for different meetings.

But Patel was later spotted at the game and in the postgame locker room, celebrating with the American players.
