Fantasy Football Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups: Best Players to Add Now

Even if you assembled the best team in your league on draft day, things inevitably change as the season progresses. Players get hurt, rise and fall on the depth chart, get traded, and more. That’s why you need to stay on top of developments and be ready to make changes to your roster. With that in mind, here are some players worth adding who could be available in your fantasy league.

Quarterbacks

Brad Rempel-Imagn Images

Kyler Murray, Minnesota Vikings (available in 49% of leagues)

It felt like Murray was getting more comfortable with the Vikings offense before the bye, passing for 229 yards and a touchdown with 51 yards on the ground in Week 5. It’s that last number that should be of interest to fantasy owners. If we start getting the dual-threat version of Murray, he could offer fringe QB1 value from week to week.

Others to Target

  • Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers (58%): Rodgers is starting to have one of those Las Vegas-style residencies on this list. Even with a compromised receiver room, the veteran still threw for 253 yards and a pair of TDs on Sunday—his fourth straight game with double-digit TD passes.
  • Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (74%): Mayfield (thumb) has a chance to return from injury in Week 7. While he was off to a slow start before getting hurt, Mayfield ranked as QB12 last season.
  • J.J. McCarthy, New York Giants (99%): It’s entirely possible Jameis Winston will start in Week 7, but what we saw this week was a willingness to give McCarthy a shot. You can’t overreact to big numbers in garbage time, but there’s some legitimate potential with McCarthy.

Running Backs

Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers (24%)

Word came out late last week that Jacobs was being removed from the Commissioner’s Exempt list and would be eligible to play in Week 7. While that doesn’t mean he won’t be suspended at some point, Jacobs should be added immediately in all leagues. In his two seasons in Green Bay, Jacobs scored 30 touchdowns and was a high-end RB2 entering the 2026 campaign.

Others to Target

  • UPDATED—Tyrone Tracy Jr., New York Giants (96%): Confusion reigns in New York’s backfield. Najee Harris started in Week 6 but was ineffective and subsequently released. Devin Singletary had five touches for 33 yards. Tracy scored twice. Cam Skattebo played six snaps and didn’t have a touch. Consider Tracy a possible speculative add, but the team could go back to Skattebo in Week 7, so you’re talking about taking a flier here.
  • Kendre Miller, New Orleans Saints (66%): Even though Alvin Kamara was more productive on a per-touch basis, Miller got most of the opportunities in Week 6. He had 22 touches compared to nine for Kamara. Miller has some value at least until Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring) returns.
  • Jonah Coleman, Denver Broncos (72%): Coleman (ankle) is eligible to return from IR this week. Denver’s offense needs a jolt. Perhaps the rookie can provide it. He’s a good stash option.
  • Pierre Strong Jr., Green Bay Packers (99%): Yes, Jacobs is due back in Week 7. His long-term outlook remains murky, however, and based on Sunday night, Strong looks like he’d serve as RB1 for the Packers if Jacobs were to incur further league discipline.

Wide Receivers

Jordyn Tyson, New Orleans Saints (52%)

Tyson (hamstring) hasn’t made his NFL debut, but he traveled with the team to France, where the Saints host the Steelers in Week 7. That suggests the Saints are close to activating him from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. Tyson was the eighth overall pick in this year’s draft, and he should slide in opposite Chris Olave when healthy. The rookie offers enough upside to be worth stashing on your bench.

Others to Target

  • NEW—Antonio Williams, Washington Commanders (95%): Although there’s no definitive update yet, the belief is that Terry McLaurin (knee) is likely done for the season after being carted off the field Monday night. That should push Williams into a more prominent role. Those in deeper leagues might want to kick the tires on Treylon Burks as well.
  • NEW—Konata Mumpfield, Los Angeles Rams (99%): Davante Adams (hamstring) is expected to miss at least six weeks, and likely more, which creates an opening opposite Puka Nacua. When Nacua was out earlier this season, it was Mumpfield that did the most damage—that includes a 4-93-1 line back in Week 3. He could provide some value for receiver-needy clubs.
  • Germie Bernard, Pittsburgh Steelers (50%): I mentioned Bernard a week ago, but he’s still out there in roughly half of leagues. Coming off an 11-87-1 performance, the rookie should be rostered in all formats.
  • Jakobi Meyers, Jacksonville Jaguars (53%): With Brian Thomas Jr. having just three receptions in the last four games, it certainly appears that Meyers, who led the team with a 5-83-0 line in Week 6, has secured the No. 2 role in Jacksonville.
  • Keenan Allen, Indianapolis Colts (53%): Indy’s offense has problems, but Allen is a reliable option on short and intermediate routes. He caught eight balls for 82 yards in Week 6. Get him on board as a WR5.
  • Keon Coleman, Buffalo Bills (69%): Coleman has now scored a touchdown in three straight games. Granted, DJ Moore (shoulder) has been dealing with injury and missed the last two weeks, but Coleman brings another dimension to the offense.
  • Ja’Kobi Lane, Baltimore Ravens (88%): Lane returned in Week 6 after missing four games with a wrist injury to catch four passes for 40 yards. The rookie had a lot of buzz in camp, and there are no sure things in Baltimore’s passing attack beyond Zay Flowers.
  • DeMario Douglas, New England Patriots (92%): Over the last two games, Douglas has 11 catches, 151 yards, and three TDs. With Romeo Doubs (shoulder) suffering an injury in Week 6 and Mack Hollins (calf) already on IR, Douglas could fill a significant role in the weeks ahead.
  • Omar Cooper Jr., New York Jets (96%): Cooper was activated from IR and put up a 6-103-1 line in his return. There’s a lot to like about the rookie, though do keep in mind that Adonai Mitchell (finger) was out on Sunday but could return as soon as Week 7.
  • Savion Williams, Green Bay Packers (100%): Williams is another name I mentioned last week. He made his 2026 debut on Sunday night and had 41 yards on six touches. He’s worth adding now in deeper leagues and is watch-list material in other formats.

Tight Ends

Dale Zanine-Imagn Images

Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons (32%)

Make it back-to-back weeks for Pitts on the list. Anyone who listened a week ago was rewarded with five receptions, 60 yards, and two touchdowns in Week 6. While most of that came late when Atlanta was playing from way behind, just seeing Pitts show more of a connection with Michael Penix Jr. should be taken as a positive sign.

Others to Target

  • Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars (42%): Like Pitts, Strange is back in this space for a second consecutive week. His 5-44-0 line in London didn’t move the needle, but he did finish third on the club with seven targets. He’s worth adding, though bear in mind the Jags are off in Week 7.
  • Michael Mayer, Las Vegas Raiders (92%): The more I see the Raiders play, the more I’m convinced that Mayer and Brock Bowers are akin to most teams’ top-two receivers. Mayer is still a bit of a flier, but how many other tight ends already have two games of 80-plus yards like Mayer does this season?

Defensive Teams

Brad Penner-Imagn Images

Defenses I Like for Week 7

  • New York Jets (87%): The Miami Dolphins are on the short list for worst offenses in the NFL through the first six weeks. Maybe a bye helps them sort some things out, but the Jets still hold serious potential in their Week 7 matchup.
  • Cleveland Browns (80%): While the Tennessee Titans are no longer winless, it’s hard to look at an offense that managed just 186 yards on Sunday and not like the defense going against them this coming weekend.
  • Carolina Panthers (72%): One week after facing Tanner McKee, the Panthers will either get undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels, who took five sacks and tossed two picks on Sunday, or a rusty Mayfield.
