The Tennessee Titans drafted Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate at No. 4, giving quarterback Cam Ward a legitimate WR1 target in 2026 and beyond.
Tate brings a polished wide receiver skill set built around size, body control, and route detail. He wins with smooth releases, steady hands, and the ability to adjust to throws outside his frame. His game leans more toward timing, positioning, and contested-catch ability than pure speed, but he has enough vertical skill to threaten downfield when given space.

Tate’s fantasy value will depend on target volume and quarterback fit, though his frame and reliability give him a clear path to earning a regular outside receiver role. He's always going to be where he is supposed to be in the route, and that kind of confidence-building dependability gives Ward a true WR1 weapon.
That said, receivers tend to take a little bit of time to truly break out, and the Titans have a ton of receivers to sift through. Calvin Ridley is getting long in the tooth and doesn't warrant the benefit of the doubt. Chimere Dike is an intriguing weapon but more valuable as a spot target and special teamer. Wan'Dale Robinson came over in free agency and is comfortable in Brian Daboll's system, so expect the veteran to be the primary underneath target. Elic Ayomanor is crafty and will fight for plays, but the reality is this offense will remain relatively limited in its aerial fantasy offerings.
Tate is worth targeting in the later midrounds of PPR formats as a No. 4 or third in deep, aggressive contests. Over the next few years, he has all of the tools to ascend into a borderline No. 1 fantasy receiver, so long as Ward progresses adequately in his own right.
