Over his first three years in the NFL, Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua has consistently been one of the best wide receivers in fantasy football when healthy. The problem is, he hasn’t been healthy for a couple of weeks…
After recording five receptions for 74 yards against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1, Nacua missed the last two games with a groin injury. However, Rams head coach Sean McVay announced on Wednesday that Nacua is expected to play against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend.
“Rams HC Sean McVay told reporters that he expects WR Puka Nacua, who has had a groin injury, to play Sunday vs. the Eagles,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter wrote.
Fantasy Fans Rejoice
To say that fantasy football players were thrilled by the return of Nacua after the numbers he put up last year might be an understatement:
“GREAT WONDERFUL THANK YOU ADAM,” one user exclaimed on X.
“FANTASY SEASON BACK ON,” another declared.
“I just traded for him he better be playing lmaoo,” wrote another.
“My fantasy team can breath.”
“Puka about to have 150 yds and a TD in the first half…”

Puka Nacua was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft and immediately became one of the league’s most productive young receivers, setting NFL rookie records with 105 receptions and 1,486 receiving yards while earning Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro honors. After a shortened 2024 season in which he recorded 79 catches for 990 yards and three touchdowns, Nacua exploded in 2025 with 129 receptions for an NFL-leading 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns, earning another Pro Bowl selection.
Through the first game of 2026, he has 318 career receptions for 4,265 yards and 19 receiving touchdowns, plus 240 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. He has also produced 654 receiving yards and three touchdowns in six playoff games.
