College basketball fans, at least those who don't root for Michigan State, are pushing for Spartans guard Jeremy Fears to be suspended "immediately" on Sunday.
Fears Jr., a 6-foot-2 sophomore, has had several kicking incidents so far this season. Fears has been caught kicking opponents in the groin a couple of different times. Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo has defended his player, saying that none of this was intentional.
However, on Sunday, it happened again. During the regular season finale against Michigan, Fears kicked another player in the groin. Was it intentional? At this point, does it matter?
Fans are fed up with the behavior and play of the Michigan State Spartans sophomore guard on Sunday.
Some want him suspended for the Big Ten Tournament.
"Suspend Jeremy Fears for the BTT," one wrote.
"Suspend Jeremy Fears," one fan added.
"FEARS IS THE DIRTIEST PLAYER IN BASKETBALL AND SHOULD BE SUSPEND FOR THE YEAR!" one fan added.
"You had to suspend Jeremy Fears bro. That’s insane," one fan added.
"Suspend him immediately," one shared.
Tom Izzo on Jeremy Fears' play
Izzo has previously been critical but defensive of Fears throughout the 2025-26 season.
"When somebody comes out and publicly says something about a guy that sometimes happens, but that's Jeremy's fault," Izzo said earlier this year. "I made sure I cleared all that up. I think the officials knew it. I talked to them. I did not see what happened on the play. I saw him get pushed and I saw his leg come up and I didn't think he hit anybody, but if he did, then he deserves it, I guess. But if he didn't, I questioned it. So are they baiting him? Well, of course. And it's his fault."
Fears has been one of the best guards in the country, averaging 15.3 points, 9.1 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game.
