WWE fans have officially reached their breaking point with Triple H, the company’s chief content officer.
While there’s no question Triple H is one of the best wrestlers in the company’s history, his recent work with the creative team has left a lot to be desired. The heat surrounding him got considerably worse on Friday when he announced that Baron Corbin will take on rapper Lil Yachty this September.
We’re not kidding, Baron Corbin will square off against Lil Yachty at Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6.
If Lil Yachty lasts five minutes in the ring, Trick Williams will get a title shot against Baron Corbin.
Wrestling fans want Triple H gone.
After the WWE announced this matchup for Sunday Night’s Main Event, fans went on social media to express their outrage.
“Triple H should never be allowed to book again,” one fan said.
“I can’t wait for the moment they announce that ‘Triple H’ (Paul L.) has been fired from WWE,” a second fan wrote. “You have done terrible damage to the company.”
“So let me get this straight… Triple H wants Lil Yachty to have AN ACTUAL SINGLES MATCH against someone that NOBODY CARES is back in the company in Atlanta for Sunday Night’s Main Event(should be called Sunday Night Heat, by the way), but he won’t give Blake Monroe a PROPER MATCH for her #SmackDown debut and just wants Giulia to get BURIED in the process?” another fan commented.
“Triple H has lost the plot,” a social media user declared.
We’ll see if the WWE addresses this backlash, albeit we highly doubt a change will be made to their creative team.
