Under Stephanie White’s leadership, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have cemented themselves as some of the best in the WNBA just a few years removed from being a laughingstock. But despite their success, some fans believe that White is getting tired of coaching Clark.
During the Fever’s loss to the Dallas Wings last night, some fans took notice of White having some pretty negative reactions to some of Clark’s moves, especially ones that were too well telegraphed and cost the Fever points.
One play that’s gone viral showed White practically falling over after seeing Clark make such an obvious iso mistake that got snuffed out immediately.
Getting tired of this?
Fans on X certainly seemed to agree that White looked like she was getting exhausted of Clark still making college and rookie mistakes despite working with her for over a year now.
“Lmao her coach getting tired of ts,” one user on X remarked.
“No lie Coach Stephanie prolly ready to get away from her,” wrote another.
“The Caitlin Clark fatigue is real even her coach is feeling it,” a third wrote.
“Stephanie White hates her job.”
“Lol I promise u they don’t like each other lol.”

It wound up being one of the worst games Clark has had all season. In 34 minutes on the court she had 10 points and nine assists, going 4-of-15 on field goals, missing her only free throw and going 2-of-8 from three.
If it weren’t for Kelsey Mitchell putting up 37 points, the Fever might not have even topped 80 points in what was ultimately a 91-85 loss.
But there’s a difference between expressing a moment of frustration and being unable to work together. We’ve seen countless instances in sports where a coach shows a moment of frustration or outright anger at a star player that seems like the end of the line, only for it to mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.
