Caitlin Clark truly doesn’t take any days off. After being eliminated from the playoffs Thursday night, she flew over to Iowa City to be a celebrity guest picker for ESPN’s “College Gameday.”
Clark, who earned All-Star honors yet again this season, tried to lead the Indiana Fever to a first-round series win over the Las Vegas Aces. Her team ultimately ran into an unstoppable force in A’ja Wilson, who had 36 points in Game 3.
On Friday night, ESPN confirmed that Clark will be its celebrity guest picker for Week 5. There have been plenty of notable names on the show this season, including Johnny Knoxville, Morgan Freeman, but fans believe she’s the best guest so far.

“Can’t get much bigger than this,” David Eickholt of 247Sports said.
“That’s an exceptional get for College GameDay,” Richard Deitsch replied to the news.
“There shouldn’t be another option,” one fan declared.
“I had guessed this and she may have done it even had they won last night. The crossover promotion is just too good with her big shoe event in Iowa City extending thru Saturday,” another fan added.
Could this be a magical season for the Hawkeyes?
Iowa is coming off a thrilling win over Michigan where quarterback Hank Brown found Reece Vander Zee for a 16-yard touchdown on the final snap of the game. That play powered the Hawkeyes to a 20-19 victory in Ann Arbor.
“It wasn’t looking good there in the fourth quarter, certainly,” Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said. “But one thing about these guys, though, they don’t quit. They fight. It wasn’t perfect, but they don’t give up.”
If Iowa takes down Ohio State this Saturday, fans will have no choice but to respect them as a college football contender.
Kickoff for the Ohio State-Iowa game is at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
