Despite what's being said online, Pittsburgh Steelers legend "Mean" Joe Greene has not passed away.
Greene had an exceptional career with the Steelers from 1968-1981, winning four Super Bowls and earning Defensive Player of the Year twice. The iconic member of the "Steel Curtain" defense had 77.5 sacks and 16 fumble recoveries.
For some unknown reason, a social media user by the name of "Johnny Cadillac" posted a graphic that said Green died. The person's post on X included this message: "This day keeps getting worse!! R.I.P. Mean Joe Greene!!!"
This rumor about Greene dying already has over 620,000 views on social media. Countless fans have offered their condolences to the NFL legend's family, but that's not necessary at all.
The Steelers told TMZ that any rumors about Greene's death are "not accurate."

One of Greene's teammates sadly passed away last month.
In February, former Steelers safety Mike Wagner passed away at the age of 76. The two-time Pro Bowler and four-time Super Bowl champion had 36 interceptions and five forced fumbles during his incredible career.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mike Wagner, a tremendous player and an integral part of some of the most successful teams in Pittsburgh Steelers history,” team president Art Rooney II said. “Mike played a key role on our championship teams of the 1970s. As a member of four Super Bowl-winning teams, his toughness and consistency were paramount to our secondary. His contributions on the field were significant, but it was also his steady presence and team-first mentality that truly defined him.
Steelers fans are certainly relieved that Greene is doing fine.
