Bijan Robinson has quickly developed into one of the NFL's most productive running backs since arriving in Atlanta. After another standout season in 2025, he enters the new campaign as the centerpiece of the Falcons' offense and one of the league's premier playmakers.
The two-time Pro Bowler did a little bit of everything for Atlanta last season. Robinson rushed for 1,478 yards and seven touchdowns on 287 carries while adding 79 receptions for 820 yards and four more TDs.
He also led the NFL in yards from scrimmage, finishing more than 170 yards ahead of Christian McCaffrey, earned First Team All-Pro honors and placed fourth in Offensive Player of the Year voting.

Atlanta has now rewarded Robinson for that production.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Falcons and Robinson have agreed to a three-year extension worth up to $75 million, making him the highest-paid running back in NFL history.
The deal includes a record $51 million in guaranteed money, including $37 million at signing, after agent Nicole Lynn and the Falcons reportedly spent the past several days working toward an agreement.
The extension gives Atlanta long-term stability around a player who has become the foundation of its offense heading into the 2026 season. There will also be a new look on that side of the ball under head coach Kevin Stefanski, whose offensive system is expected to put a greater emphasis on under-center running plays.
Robinson was more productive out of the shotgun last season, averaging 5.5 yards per carry compared to 4.3 yards when lining up under center. Adjusting to Stefanski's scheme will be one of the bigger storylines for Atlanta's offense as the season approaches.
If Robinson settles into that system as quickly as he has adapted to everything else during his first three NFL seasons, the Falcons could be looking at another big year from the running back they have now committed to for the foreseeable future.
