Lando Norris will lead the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix from the pole position, having set the quickest lap in Saturday’s qualifying session at Zandvoort.

The McLaren driver set a 1:11.057 in Q3 to beat Mercedes’ George Russell by 0.103 seconds. Kimi Antonelli qualified third, giving the championship leader a good start for Sunday’s race. Oscar Piastri will begin on the second row with his Mercedes rival.

Lewis Hamilton was fifth and teammate Charles Leclerc sixth for Ferrari. Max Verstappen will be in seventh in front of his home fans, while Liam Lawson took eighth for Red Bull.

George Russell was leading Saturday’s Sprint from the pole, but Norris’ pole is a huge morale boost for McLaren. Russell eventually won the Sprint, and thus had another chance to compete in the championship duel with Antonelli.

The Mercedes driver will now begin directly next to Norris, with Antonelli next to him. That may make for a very exciting first lap, as both McLaren drivers and Mercedes title contenders will be at the front.

Hamilton’s fifth-place starting position also gives him a good chance of a podium finish, but Ferrari will have to get more pace to compete with the McLarens and Mercedes.

Verstappen will be supported by his home fans as he battles his way to the podium from seventh, but will have a difficult task ahead.

The 2026 Dutch GP will be held at Zandvoort on Sunday, with Norris at the front of the pack.
