F1 Bahrain Grand Prix Winners and Losers
Winner: Max Verstappen
Verstappen has been the one to come through when Red Bull has needed him. After struggling to find his way to the front during much of the season, taking pole and controlling the race at Sepang represents a huge boost for the reigning champion. One of the most significant stories of the afternoon has been his pace on the changing track.

Winner: Kimi Antonelli
Antonelli is also a big winner. A second-place finish would provide the championship leader with another good haul of points and further demonstrate his consistency at the sharp end of the field.
Winner: Lewis Hamilton
Hamilton’s start was not a pretty one, but he’s come back to save the day. The Ferrari driver steadily worked his way up the standings and has come up with a much better performance to finish 3rd.
Loser: George Russell
Russell was having a great race and was looking for a good points haul before a power unit issue forced him into retirement with five laps to go. It’s a hard way to finish an otherwise good ride.
Losers: McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri
It’s been a rough afternoon for McLaren. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were hoping to push near the front, but the weekend has been a damp run for the team due to a lack of pace and race-day issues.
