Sophie Cunninghamgave life to a new meme during their 86-77 win against the Phoenix Mercury on June 22.
The 6-foot-1 guard had a quiet game, finishing with only two points off of free throws. She shot 0-of-5 from the field in 26 minutes off the bench. Despite that, they secured a win over her former team.
However, Cunningham was involved in a pointing match with DeWanna Bonner after the Mercury forward got physical with Caitlin Clark. It was during that heated altercation that the meme was born.
In less than a week, the now-infamous meme has blown up on social media. One notable addition to the rapidly growing list of meme users is John Cena.

The WWE legend’s page is famous for posting photos without any caption. He currently has 443 posts on his Instagram page and 21.3 million followers.
The 17-time World Champion posts random photos without any context. In his profile, Cena promises to post images "without explanation, for your interpretation."
He did just that by posting the Cunningham meme.
As for Cunningham and the Indiana Fever, they lost the following game against the Mercury on Wednesday, 111-109. They then bounced back with a dominant win on Saturday against the visiting Los Angeles Sparks.
Indiana is currently sitting at seventh in the WNBA standings with an 11-8 record. The Fever will next face the Las Vegas Aces when they travel to the T-Mobile Arena on July 5.
