The "ESPN College GameDay" crew made their picks for Monday's College Football Playoff National Championship Game before it kicked off.

Nick Saban, Desmond Howard and guest picker Marcus Freeman all went with Miami to win, and it looked like it was going to be a clean sweep before Pat McAfee went with Indiana.

He's confident that Indiana will bring the title home and finish with a perfect 16-0 record. Indiana won all 12 of its regular-season games before beating Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game. Indiana then beat Alabama and Oregon in the CFP quarterfinals and semifinals in blowout fashion.

Curt Cignetti has the Hoosiers in the CFP National Championship Game in just his second season as head coach. He took over ahead of the 2024 season and took them to the CFP last year before losing to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the first round.

Cignetti came back with a vengeance this year and is now on the cusp of winning it all. He has a 26-2 overall record as the Hoosiers' head coach.

The Hoosiers drew first blood in Monday's game, thanks to a field goal in the first quarter. They extended the lead to 10-0 in the second quarter, thanks to a rushing touchdown from Riley Nowakowski.

The Hurricanes will have to really dig deep if they want to come back against the top team in the country.

You can watch the rest of this game on ESPN. Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit are on the call.
