ESPN officially announced its replacement for Ryan Clark on "Monday Night Football" on Monday, August 3.
The Worldwide Leader in Sports confirmed that former New England Patriots star Jason McCourty will be working on the "Monday Night Football Countdown" desk, taking Clark's spot after his ousting at ESPN.
"Welcome to the Monday Night Countdown team, @JasonMcCourty," the Worldwide Leader in Sports announced.
"The @espnnfl analyst will join the desk this fall🏈."

Jason McCourty, whose brother, Devin, works for NBC's "Sunday Night Football," will be joining the Monday night desk that includes Scott Van Pelt, Jason Kelce, and Marcus Spears. He is effectively replacing Ryan Clark on the program.
NFL fans praise ESPN for Ryan Clark replacement
NFL fans are excited to see what Ryan Clark's replacement can do with a prominent role on a primetime program.
"Let’s goooooo," Chase Daniel, a former NFL quarterback, stated.
"Jason joining the desk is a solid pickup for ESPN," one fan added.
"Great choice, ESPN. His brother is excellent on NBC and he'll be great for ESPN, too. Can't wait to watch," one shared.

Clark, meanwhile, continues to maintain that he was not "laid off" by ESPN, as the company stated. He believes that he was essentially fired.
“I wasn’t laid off. I was fired,” Clark said. “They’re using layoffs as a cover and a camouflage for what they already intended on doing.”
Clark had been with ESPN for roughly a decade. He'll look to find a new NFL broadcasting home soon, while continuing to do his podcast on the side.
