Prior to this “Monday Night Football” game between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints, ESPN posted a questionable graphic involving second-year quarterback Tyler Shough.
The Saints are only 1-2 heading into this NFC South showdown, but Shough has shown plenty of promise this season. He’s completing 68.9% of his passes for 917 yards with eight touchdowns and three interceptions.
In an effort to promote this Week 4 matchup, ESPN shared a graphic of the Saints’ starting quarterback along with the caption: “SHOUGH FLOW.”
Fans quickly pointed out that Shough’s last name is pronounced “Shuck,” not “Show.” Apparently, that minor mistake was unforgivable for fans in the Bayou.

“I don’t think the person that made this graphic knows how to pronounce Shough’s last name,” T-Bob Hebert of Barstool Sports said.
“ESPN hires someone who doesn’t know players names,” one fan replied. “What an embarrassing company.”
“Learn how to pronounce an NFL QB’s name before posting things like this,” a second fan commented.
“Perfect representation on how bad ESPN is these days,” another fan wrote.
The Saints are banking on Shough.
While the Saints aren’t expected to be contenders in the NFC this season, they could compete for a division title due to their second-year quarterback.
Shough has already taken great strides this season, proving to have a real connection with Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson. If they continue to shine, the Saints could be tough to stop on offense.
First things first though, the Saints have to prove they can beat their division rivals.
