ESPN is facing heat for "botching" an important call during the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament over the weekend.
Minnesota topped Ole Miss, 65-63, in the second round of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. The game came down to the wire. Minnesota, playing at home, outscored Ole Miss by 10 points in the fourth quarter, taking the win.
But during the game, ESPN botched an important call.
After Ole Miss tied the game at 63-63 with 3.5 seconds left, Minnesota called timeout, to draw up a game-winning play. ESPN's crew of Krista Blunk and Andrea Lloyd did not handle it well.

Lloyd, a veteran broadcaster and a member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, said that the clock was "a problem" for Ole Miss, which didn't make much sense, considering the score was tied. Lloyd then said that Ole Miss would have to go for a steal and then foul.
"Lloyd went on to say that Ole Miss would go for the quick steal before having to foul, then spouted out the free-throw shooting percentage of Minnesota players on the floor that the Rebels may want to put on the line," Outkick wrote.
"It was an absolutely brutal watch for any fan paying any attention at all to the broadcast."
It was a tough mistake.
College basketball fans were cringing at the mistake
"That was ridiculous. And she kept going," one fan wrote.
"Embarrassment," one fan added.
"Yikes, man," one fan added.
Hopefully, there won't be any serious mistakes with ESPN's broadcasting crew moving forward.
The NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament continues tonight.
