Enes Kanter’s behavior has been labeled “disrespectful” by one of his former NBA teammates.
The former NBA forward, who played in the league from 2011 until 2022, attended Sunday night’s Chicago Sky vs. Indiana Fever game. Kanter, who has “declared” for the 2027 WNBA Draft, sat courtside, underneath one of the baskets. He ended up getting into a heated interaction with Sky guard Natasha Cloud and got ejected.
“Sophie Cunningham shot a three, and I put my hands up to celebrate,” Kanter said of what happened. “Literally, a couple possessions later, Natasha came back and started screaming and yelling and said, ‘She’s not gonna sleep with you.’
“And I was like, ‘I am not trying to sleep with her. I’m just here to protect women and support her.’ And then, obviously, after that she started yapping, and she started to walk towards me, and literally I just got up, and then I was like, ‘I’m just here to protect women, and that’s all.’”

Not everyone is buying it, though.
Evan Turner, his former NBA teammate – they played together in Portland in 2019 – called him out on social media.

Turner, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft out of Ohio State, called out Kanter online.
“Enes, What are you doing brother?” Turner asked.
Turner made it clear that the WNBA doesn’t need Kanter’s protection or help.
“The wnba is doing perfectly fine without that kind of help. It’s a distraction from the game that’s building tons of momentum. It’s not needed and it’s disrespectful,” he shared.
WNBA fans, meanwhile, are calling for Kanter to be “banned” from all of the league’s arenas in the wake of his ejection.
