Former Fox Sports personality Emmanuel Acho has a theory as to why photos of The Athletic's Dianna Russini and New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel leaked on the internet this week.
Page Six sent the NFL community into a frenzy on Tuesday night by sharing photos of Russini and Vrabel holding hands and hugging at the Ambiente, a luxurious hotel in Sedona, Arizona.
“A Page Six spy tells us that the pair — both married to other people — had breakfast on the patio of the hotel restaurant around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, before spending a leisurely hour or so together at the pool and lounging side-by-side in a hot tub,” their report states. “Our spy spotted Vrabel and Russini again that evening on the private rooftop of one of the hotel’s bungalows, which feature glass walls offering panoramic views of the state’s famed Red Rock formations.”

During the latest episode of the "Speakeasy" podcast, Acho suggested that someone hired a private investigator to spy on Russini and Vrabel.
"As the foremost expert on this topic. Let’s just take the sting out. Beat them to the punchline," Acho said. "As the foremost expert on this topic, here’s what nobody’s talking about regarding Russini and Vrabel, somebody hired a private investigator."
This theory is starting to gain some traction, albeit there's no proof Page Six obtained these photos from a private investigator.
Strong denials from Russini and Vrabel.
Russini issued a statement about Page Six's story the same night it was released.
“The photos don’t represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day,” Russini said. “Like most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues.”
Vrabel, on the other hand, slammed the “laughable” rumors involving him and Russini.
“These photos show a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable,” Vrabel told the New York Post. “This doesn’t deserve any further response.”
It'll be interesting to see if there's more to this story.
