This offseason has been somewhat of a mass exodus for the Philadelphia Eagles and their players.

With a handful of players on defense in line for an extension, like Jalen Carter and Quinyon Mitchell, they knew they would have to deal with some losses in free agency.

They’ve lost four key players so far, with the biggest one being edge rusher Jaelan Phillips, who blindsided the team by signing a massive deal with the Carolina Panthers shortly after free agency officially opened March 11.

Philadelphia also could lose more mainstays in the near future, namely Brandon Graham and Lane Johnson.

The pair are among the four players to have won two Super Bowl rings with the Eagles. Graham retired after earning that second ring, then came back midway through last season.

Meanwhile, Johnson missed seven games because of injury. His body has begun to break down at this stage in his career, and he reportedly considered retirement this offseason. The Eagles know they likely don’t have much time left with him.

It would be wise to start looking for Johnson’s eventual replacement, and that’s what Philadelphia might find if things shake out how they did in college football analyst Joel Klatt’s latest mock draft for Fox Sports.

Klatt has them taking Alabama Crimson Tide tackle Kadyn Proctor, who is unpolished but has endless potential.

Proctor is just 20 years old and stands at a monstrous 6-foot-7, 366 pounds. His size is comparable to Mekhi Becton, who played for the Eagles during their Super Bowl LIX run after four uninspiring years with the New York Jets.

Becton was on his way to becoming a bust before he finally found his groove in Philadelphia. If they can work similar magic with Proctor, then they very well might nail down their right tackle for the foreseeable future.

Taking an offensive lineman as raw as him might be risky, but his ceiling greatly outweighs any concerns about his play.
