Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson hasn't made it official just yet, but it sounds like he's retiring at the end of the 2026 NFL season.
Johnson, the No. 4 overall pick from the 2013 NFL Draft, has been sensational for the Eagles for roughly a decade now. He's a two-time Super Bowl champion with six Pro Bowls and two first-team All-Pro nods under his belt.
There were concerns that Johnson wouldn't return to the Eagles for the 2026 season, but he opted to give it another go after the team's disappointing playoff exit. That being said, rumors about his status resurfaced after he missed four practices in a row during training camp.
Luckily for Eagles fans, Johnson returned to training camp Friday and squashed any rumors about him retiring. However, he let reporters know on Saturday that he's most likely walking away from the NFL next offseason.
"It's looking like this is potentially, probably my last year," Johnson said during Saturday's media availability.

Why is Lane Johnson on the verge of retiring?
Johnson, 36, noted that it's tough to "get time back" when it comes to raising his kids. If he continues to play in the NFL, he could miss out on some priceless experiences.
The Eagles legend also revealed that his mother is dealing with some health issues. NFL fans can't fault him for prioritizing his family over his career, especially when he already has the titles and individual accolades.
One thing is certain: a spot in the Hall of Fame is waiting for Lane Johnson.
