The Philadelphia Eagles are entering what feels like a make-or-break offseason, with longtime offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland gone, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio on the brink of retirement, and uncertainty surrounding A.J. Brown and his future with the team.
A little over a year ago the Eagles were crowned as Super Bowl champions, and now they are trying desperately to glue a fractured core back together.
Brown stirred the pot during the 2025 season, frequently complaining about the offense to the media and making his infamous cryptic social media posts.
After multiple seasons of public frustration for the star wide receiver, there has been a ton of speculation about a potential trade.
However, Brown spoke highly of the team and the city on a podcast with Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons just a few weeks back, so things have been rather calm lately.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni spoke about the controversial wideout during a recent media session, telling reporters, “Does he want to be here? Yes. Do I want him to be here? Yes.”

However, he steered clear of guaranteeing Brown’s return in 2026, saying, “I can’t guarantee how anything is going to play out into next season. I’m thinking I’m going to be the coach next season but you can’t guarantee anything past tomorrow.”
While Sirianni acknowledged that both he and Brown would be interested in working together next season, Philadelphia is known to march to the beat of their own drum.
After all, they fired former head coach Doug Pederson just three seasons after winning the Super Bowl, reaching the playoffs twice in those three years.
Then, they moved on from Carson Wentz, who looked to be the franchise quarterback, after a down year in 2020 and focused their attention on Jalen Hurts.

This organization is constantly changing, frequently evolving, so there is just no way that Brown’s return can be guaranteed. His relationship with the team appears to be in a good spot for the time being, but things can always change in a hurry with the Eagles.
