Zaire Wade, the son of Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade, has officially been charged with a felony.
On June 21, Wade was arrested and booked in Los Angeles on suspicion of domestic violence. He was accused of being in a physical altercation with someone he was dating at around 5:30 a.m. local time. According to NBC4 Los Angeles, the authorities found a woman at the scene with lacerations on her face and body.
NBC4 Los Angeles confirmed on Thursday night that Wade was charged with felony domestic violence, criminal threats and false imprisonment.
“He was arrested and booked for domestic violence, criminal threats and false imprisonment,” a Burbank Police spokesperson told PEOPLE. “Detectives will be presenting the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office for filing considerations.”

What's the latest on Zaire Wade?
Wade has already been released from jail despite his $50,000 bond. The former Sierra Canyon School basketball player has not commented on his situation though.
Despite being the son of a three-time champion, Zaire only spent time in the G League and overseas. He never appeared in an NBA game.
As for the woman involved in this altercation, she wasn't transported to a hospital for additional treatment. An emergency protective order has been issued for her though.
