Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is now searching for a new team after eight seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers.
On Tuesday, James' agent, Rich Paul, told Shams Charania of ESPN that the 41-year-old star is leaving the Lakers. James has apparently informed the Purple and Gold franchise that it can "move on without him."
James still plans to continue his NBA career, but it just won't be with the Lakers. It's still unknown where he will end up with, but Dave McMenamin of ESPN reported that the 41-year-old superstar has instructed his agent to "talk to everyone around the league who is interested in playing for them and come back to him with what the options are so he can make his decision."
Chris Haynes of NBA on Prime added that James' "priority is having a realistic chance at competing for a championship."

Amid the questions about James' next destination, however, his former Lakers teammate and NBA legend Dwight Howard thinks there's one team that fits the superstar's requirements: the San Antonio Spurs.
In fact, Howard went as far as predicting that James will be able to win two more NBA championships should he join the Spurs.
"Should LeBron Go to the spurs," Howard wrote on social media. "I think he wins two more if he goes. What yall think?"
The Spurs reached the 2026 NBA Finals but lost to the New York Knicks in five games. To Howard's point, James should give San Antonio that much-needed veteran experience to transform them into a championship-caliber team.
While San Antonio dominated New York in stretches during the Finals, they simply couldn't close them out. Many blamed it on the Spurs' lack of experience, so adding a four-time champion like James would definitely help them.
It remains to be seen if the Spurs will show interest in James, though. The likes of the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heathave been mentioned as potential landing spots for him.
