Cameron Boozer and the Duke Blue Devils fell short of winning the program's sixth national championship. Entering the NCAA Tournament as the East Region's No. 1 seed, Jon Scheyer's squad advanced to the Elite Eight. However, their run would end there, losing to the No. 2 UConn Huskies 73-72.

Despite that, Boozer proved to be one of the top players in college basketball. The true freshman averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game, all of which led the team. He also shot 55.6% from the field and 39.1% from the three-point line. Coming out of high school in the 2025 cycle as the No. 3 player in the nation, per Rivals Industry Rankings, he lived up to expectations.

His performance on the court has led to a handful of national recognitions and even a historic achievement. On Tuesday, Duke revealed that Boozer became the first player to ever be named the NABC Freshman of the Year, NABC Player of the Year and NABC Pete Newell Big Man of the Year in the same season.

"First-ever to sweep Player / Freshman / Big Man of the Year‼️💪💪," the team wrote via an Instagram post.

The honors may not stop rolling in either. Boozer has also been named a finalist for the John Wooden Award, given to college basketball's most outstanding player. The winner will be announced on Friday.

While Duke is proud to share his historic feat, winning the three NABC awards, his time with the Blue Devils may be coming to an end. While no decision has been announced, the forward is expected to enter the 2026 NBA Draft. ESPN ranks Boozer as the No. 3 prospect in the draft class.
