Drew McIntyre may be away from WWE television, but he apparently hasn’t taken any time off from trolling CM Punk.
McIntyre took to social media on Tuesday with a bizarre photo. The image features Andrew Cini, a 45-year-old man wanted on recall to prison, presented on a soccer-style player card.
McIntyre apparently saw enough of a resemblance to his former rival to make Punk the punchline.
The timing was no accident. McIntyre’s post came almost exactly two years after he and Punk ended their intensely personal WWE rivalry inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood on Oct. 5, 2024.

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk’s Rivalry Lives On
McIntyre and Punk spent much of 2024 making their rivalry increasingly personal, both on WWE television and social media.
McIntyre defeated Punk at SummerSlam before Punk evened the score in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin. Their feud culminated at Bad Blood, where Punk defeated McIntyre in a brutal Hell in a Cell match that left both men battered.
Two years later, McIntyre is apparently suggesting the rivalry aged Punk considerably.
It’s hardly the first time McIntyre has used social media to take a shot at Punk. Trolling his rival became a defining part of their feud, with McIntyre frequently blurring the line between WWE storyline and their real-life history.
The rivalry may have ended inside Hell in a Cell, but McIntyre clearly hasn’t retired the jokes.
