Atlanta Dream superstar Angel Reese revealed that hard work is her secret to success.
On Thursday, Reese became the third player in WNBA history to record a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds while shooting a perfect field goal percentage.
Reese helped Atlanta rout the Los Angeles Sparks, 124-88, in front of their home fans at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday. She finished the game with 20 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and three steals.
The former LSU star was asked by the “WNBA Nightcap on Prime Video” crew about her thoughts on her record-breaking outing against the Sparks, and she revealed the catalyst for this historic WNBA development.
“My work trusting my work all year, just being able to stay focused, stay dialed in,” Reese stated.
Additionally, Reese shared the aspect of the game that she has been constantly improving this season.
“My threes, I’ve been working on them with Karl every day, every night, all the time,” Reese continued. “So just trying to trust my work and just staying poised.”
On top of the 20-point, 10-rebound feat with 100% shooting, Reese also achieved three more records in the WNBA history books.
The three-time WNBA All-Star became the second player in WNBA history to record at least 25 double-doubles in a single season and joined Alyssa Thomas in this category.
Reese also eclipsed her own offensive rebound record in a single season, as she now has 175 offensive rebounds and counting. Her previous record was 172.
Lastly, the 24-year-old became the first player in league history to rack up 15 points, five rebounds and five assists with a 100% field goal percentage in the first half.
