Draymond Green and Steve Kerr have been through a lot in their 12 years together with the Golden State Warriors.
Green is a notoriously feisty individual who has had his fair share of contentious moments throughout his NBA career. He’s had multiple run-ins with his coach through the years, but there is no denying that there is nothing but love between them.
Kerr’s contract with the Warriors has now come to an end. He has coached Golden State since 2014. However, it has now become increasingly possible that the 60-year-old has already coached the Warriors for the last time in his career.

Green addressed Kerr’s future with the Warriors in the latest episode of “The Draymond Green Show.” The former Defensive Player of the Year got painfully honest as he shared his prediction on what the future holds for Kerr.
“Steph, myself, Steve shared a moment in what could be our last time playing with Steve as our coach,” Green said, referencing their on-court moment in Friday’s season-ending loss to the Phoenix Suns. “I'm happy we got to share that moment and he didn't miss the moment. It was a big deal.
“I hope he's our coach next year. You want my opinion? I think not. Just because it just feels like that. It felt like that was it.”
Green, who nearly got traded this past season, admitted that there is also a lot of uncertainty surrounding his future with the team.
“I also hope I'm on this team next year,” he said. “We also don't know that.
“And man, if it was, what a run it's been. So lucky to have had for 12 years Steve as my coach.
“We shall see. I don't know. Just got to stay ready for whatever it is and roll with the punches.”
Green has a player option for the 2025-26 season, which is the final year of his current contract with the Warriors. However, there is also no guarantee that Golden State will not explore a possible trade scenario again for the 36-year-old during the offseason.
