Drake is hoping one of sports' biggest superstitions can help Canada reach the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarterfinals.
Ahead of Canada's Round of 16 match against Morocco on Saturday, July 4, the Toronto rapper revealed on Instagram that he had placed a bet on Morocco to win.
While that may sound surprising for one of Canada's biggest celebrities, Drake said he wasn't rooting against his home country. Instead, he is trying to use the famous "Drake Curse" to Canada's advantage.
Sharing a screenshot of his bet on Friday night, he wrote: "Won the last time… gonna try reverse curse strategy."
The post was a joke about the long-running belief that teams and athletes backed by Drake often end up losing.
