New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye may someday be a great NFL quarterback, but he very much was not one this postseason.
While the Patriots reached the Super Bowl, losing to the Seahawks, 29-13, Maye was bad to really bad for much of the postseason. The Patriots reached the Super Bowl thanks to their defense and, let's be honest, very favorable postseason schedule, topping the Chargers and Texans at home before going on the road to beat the Jarrett Stidham-led Broncos in the AFC Championship Game.
Maye's stats in Super Bowl 60 don't look horrible - 295 passing yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions - but he was much worse than that in reality. The Patriots quarterback couldn't get anything going on offense until it was too late.

In fact, Maye made unfortunate NFL history with the Super Bowl 60 loss on Sunday evening.
Maye became the NFL's worst postseason quarterback since 2000, according to one notable statistic.
Patriots quarterback makes rough history
The New England Patriots quarterback totaled the worst combined EPA added (expected points added) with his playoff run.
He tops even Peyton Manning, who could barely throw the ball at the end of his career, in 2015.
Rex Grossman, Joe Flacco and Jared Goff are also on the list.
Of course, Maye is very young, and he'll have a chance to prove himself in the postseason at some point, but this was a rough showing.
