Sunday was not a good day for Philadelphia Eagles fans.
The Eagles fell to the Panthers, 25-14, in Week 6. The Eagles dropped to 2-4 on the season with the loss. Philadelphia is now bracing for star quarterback Jalen Hurts to miss the remainder of the season.
“Over the last few days, Jalen Hurts has received comprehensive medical evaluations by physician experts. In the interest of transparency, we are providing additional information on the diagnosis and treatment plan related to his condition. Jalen was initially diagnosed by specialists in London with a left calf superficial vein thrombosis. After further testing and monitoring, the current diagnosis is a deep vein thrombosis, as well as bilateral pulmonary emboli. He is clinically stable and has no significant functional limitations. His treatment should only involve anticoagulation (i.e. ‘blood thinners’). During this time, he will not be allowed to participate in any contact activities, including football,” the team announced Monday.
“Jalen’s prognosis is very good, and we expect a full recovery. We anticipate that he will have the opportunity to resume contact football activities when off the blood thinners. In the meantime, he will remain active around the team and continue to condition. More importantly, we anticipate that he will have no long-term effects. We are thinking of Jalen and looking forward to a strong recovery.”
To make matters worse for Eagles fans, much of the fan base dealt with a car-towing issue on Sunday evening.

‘Dozens’ of Eagles fans deal with cars getting towed
FOX 29 in Philadelphia reported that “dozens” of Eagles fans had to deal with their cars getting towed.
“Dozens of Philadelphia Eagles fans returned to their cars along Pattison Avenue on Sunday only to find them gone, adding extra financial pain and hassle to an already frustrating afternoon following the Eagles loss,” FOX 29 reported.
“Fans said they had parked in the area for years without issue and claimed there were no signs warning them that parking was prohibited.”
Fans who had their cars towed were forced to pay upwards of $200 to get their vehicles back.
The Eagles will host the lowly Cowboys in Week 7, in a battle of 2-4 teams.
