During the Indiana Fever’s game against the Dallas Wings last week, Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers had a heated moment.
Late in the second quarter of the game, Bueckers attempted to stop Clark’s play by pulling her arm. No foul was initially called before Bueckers touched Clark again and the referee blew the whistle.
At that point, however, Clark was heated. As both players argued with the referee, Bueckers can be seen telling Clark to calm down.
Now, during the latest episode of their “Post Moves” podcast, Fever star Aliyah Boston and WNBA legend Candace Parker discussed the interaction between Clark and Bueckers.

Boston made it clear she was not a fan of Bueckers telling Clark to calm down, pointing out that such a gesture often has the opposite effect.
“No, it doesn’t,” Boston said when Parker asked if telling someone to calm down has ever worked. “Cause now I’m even more mad cause don’t tell me to calm down. Why would you tell me to calm down?”
Parker agreed with Boston, although she mentioned that she would have probably done the same thing as Bueckers.
Whatever the case may be, both players were quick to move on from the incident.
Unfortunately for Clark, Boston and the Fever, they lost to the Wings in the showdown, 91-85. Clark struggled with just 10 points on 4-of-15 shooting, along with nine assists. Boston added 14 points and nine rebounds.
Bueckers, for her part, finished with 13 points, six rebounds and eight assists in Dallas’ victory.
