Travis Kelce's future with the Kansas City Chiefs is very much up in the air this offseason.
Although the Chiefs fell short of every imaginable goal this season, Kelce still had 76 catches for 851 yards and two touchdowns. He's still capable of being a reliable option for Patrick Mahomes in the passing game.
“As an organization, we certainly hope that he will come back,” Chiefs owner Clark Hunt said. “He had another great year. Maybe not on par with where he was four or five years ago, but still had over 800 yards, was really one of the leaders on the offensive side of the ball for us. So there’s no doubt in my mind that he can still play.”
Kelce's mother, Donna, was asked about his NFL future while at Los Angeles International Airport. She made it clear she won't influence his final decision.
"You know, I just want him to do what he feels comfortable doing," she told TMZ. "He’s gotta talk to people in his life to decide what he wants to do. So I’m not sure. We’ll see what happens."

Will Travis play one last season?
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, a return to the Chiefs for 2026 has become “more real than ever” for Kelce.
Kelce, however, has not yet given any indication as to what he'll do. All we know for sure is he won't let his decision linger deep into the offseason.
“Seeing my brother go through it and how the league works, the season restarts in April,” Kelce said. “I want to give the Chiefs a good opportunity, whether I come back or not or if they want me back. It’s one of those things where I’d like to make that decision before they need to make draft picks and free agency opens. All that will be at the end of the season. I won’t be thinking about it until then.”
Regardless if Kelce plays another season or not, there's a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame waiting for him.
