President Donald Trump seems eager to attend a New York Knicks game before this NBA season ends.
Trump told reporters that he was planning on attending Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Knicks had other plans though, sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers and booking a spot in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999. With hat being said, Trump plans on visiting Madison Square Garden during the Finals.
“I was invited – I was going to go on Wednesday, but they closed it out very quickly,” Trump said. “Jim Dolan, as you know owns and is in charge of Madison Square Garden, is having a great year. What a team! I think I’ll be going to one of their games.”

Kathy Hochul, the governor of New York, was asked about the president's Knicks fandom during a press conference this Wednesday. She tried to dunk on Trump, but instead she made an unfortunate mistake.
"I’d ask him to name the starting lineup from the 1993 championship team and see how he does," Gov. Hochul told reporters.
The Knicks didn't win the NBA Finals in 1993. They won the Eastern Conference the following year before falling short to the Houston Rockets in the championship.
Donald Trump Jr. didn't appreciate Hochul's jab at his father.
Shortly after Hochul fired off that comment about the Knicks, Trump Jr. issued a harsh response on social media.
"Anyone who knows my father knows he probably knows more about Sports than just about any human being not in the business," Trump Jr. wrote. "Kathy’s failed soundbite ain’t gonna land well… just like her policies."
Suffice to say, the Trump family isn't very fond of Hochul.
We'll see if Hochul welcomes Trump to the Big Apple when the NBA Finals start next week.
