There's been a lot of talk about where Major League Baseball should put an expansion franchise or two.
Nashville, Tennessee has been a popular pick for many. Austin, Texas could be another. There are also places like Omaha, Nebraska - which hosts the College World Series - and Richmond, Virginia, which has a lot of baseball fans.
But what about somewhere outside of the domestic United States?
The Dominican Republic has been floated as a potential expansion site.

The Dominican Republic, which has produced some of the greatest MLB players of all-time, is a baseball haven.
WFAN’s Evan Roberts suggested the Dominican Republic as an MLB expansion site.
“I understand that what I’m about to tell you faces some battles that will make it tough to occur, such as the economy, such as building a stadium, but how electric would it be for the Dominican Republic to be an expansion city?” Roberts asked co-host Tiki Barber during their Wednesday show on WFAN, per Awful Announcing. “I don’t think it’s a geography issue, it’s a financial issue.”
There could be issues, like safety, and many players might not want to live in the D.R.
But Roberts thinks it could happen.
Things like a new stadium and TV setup would be necessary, as would some other infrastructure.
But if the NFL and NBA are trying to be more global sports, MLB should probably try, as well.
