The start of NFL training camps is still four weeks away.
However, several Miami Dolphins players are entering the final year of their contracts.
The Dolphins currently have about $12.1 million in salary cap space. They have already signed running back De'Von Achane (four years, $64 million) and center Aaron Brewer (three years, $52.5 million) to extensions this offseason.
Here are three other players who could boost their stock and possibly remain in Miami with strong 2026 seasons.
Linebacker Jordyn Brooks
With Achane's and Brewer's extensions done, Brooks appears to be the most likely candidate to receive one next. He has expressed interest in remaining in Miami despite the significant roster turnover under general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and coach Jeff Hafley.
Brooks is coming off a first-team All-Pro season after recording 183 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 17 games. He is entering the final year of the three-year, $26.25 million contract he signed in 2024 and is scheduled to carry a $10.86 million cap hit in 2026.
Miami selected two linebackers in April's draft — Jacob Rodriguez and Kyle Louis — giving the team long-term options if it can't reach an extension with Brooks.
Right tackle Austin Jackson

Jackson is the longest-tenured Dolphin, but he had his contract restructured and underwent toe surgery this offseason. Now in the final year of his deal, he must prove he can stay healthy under the new regime.
Jackson is expected to be ready for the start of training camp in late July. He has missed 20 games over the past two seasons, after missing 15 in 2022.
Miami's offensive line figures to be one of the team's strengths with Malik Willis under center. But for that to happen, Jackson has to stay healthy in what is a pivotal season for the veteran right tackle.
Linebacker Tyrel Dodson
Like Brooks, Dodson is entering the final year of the two-year contract he signed in March 2025.
Last season, Dodson finished second on the team with 129 tackles while adding 10 tackles for loss. After the Dolphins drafted both Rodriguez and Louis, Dodson could become the odd man out as the team continues its rebuild. However, a strong training camp and preseason could not only help him prove he deserves to remain in Miami but also earn him an extension.
