The Miami Dolphins went just 7-10 last season, prompting a complete rebuild of their leadership. After hiring head coach Jeff Hafley and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, the team continues to make roster changes.

The Dolphins have already released wide receivers Tyreek Hill, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and offensive lineman James Daniels. While also looking to move on from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Miami is undergoing a full rebuild.

Another player rumored to potentially be a casualty of these changes is wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques wrote that the 27-year-old is the "Dolphins' most valuable trade asset if they choose to dig deeper into this rebuild."

While under contract through the 2028 season, Waddle's age and long-term control make him an intriguing option for teams in need of a wide receiver. Last season for the Dolphins, he accumulated 64 receptions, 910 yards and six touchdowns

However, when speaking to the media on Tuesday, Sullivan revealed that even though they will listen to trade offers for both Waddle and running back De'Von Achane, they are not "actively trying to move" them.

"Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan says he will listen on calls for WR Jaylen Waddle and RB De’Von Achane, but he is not 'actively trying to move' either player this off-season," UPI's Al Butler wrote in an X post.

As a first-round pick out of Alabama in the 2021 NFL Draft, Waddle continues to be a consistent piece to Miami's offense. He reached at least 900 receiving yards in four of his five seasons and has never made fewer than 14 starts.

With the Dolphins unlikely to move on from Waddle, the next big step in their rebuild is free agency, which begins on March 11.
